"I love my job" says Anne Marie. "I love it more every day. I love these kids. These kids will never cease to surprise you, obviously, in how they act and what they say and what they do and how kind and generous and loving they are."
Here's the letter Brooklyn wrote nominating Mrs. Panipinto.
Dear News 8,
In your high school career, you will very rarely find a teacher that will fight for you, spend endless amount of hours just to see you succeed, and put a smile on your face first thing in the morning. On behalf of the whole student body, I would like to nominate Ms. Anne Marie Panipinto. Anne Marie is one of those remarkable teachers, one of the ones that you come back 20 years later just to visit. I can genuinely say that I would not be the scholar I am today without her. In just 2 weeks she helped my write a phenomenal 8 paragraph critical lens, and took me from a 45 on the NY state regents exam to a 78. In just a short period of time, Anne Marie had even got me into AP English! Anne Marie deserves an endless amount of praise and even though I will never be able to give her back everything that she gave me, this award would really mean a lot to her, Anne Marie has been teaching for many years , and had never received any recognition for her d education. We will never forget Anne Marie, she is the reason why so many of us has made it this far.
