Boys Senior All-Stars Put On One More Show

Game briefly delayed by fire alarm
Someone didn't want the high school basketball season to end.

Just before the Boys Exceptional Senior Game at Gates-Chili High School Saturday afternoon, the fire alarm went off and the basketball arena had to be evacuated.

It turns out a fog machine being used for play practice in an auditorium down the hall triggered the smoke detector. Fans stood outside the gym for approximately 15 minutes and the game was delayed about 25 minutes.

The show was worth the wait.

The Red team beat the Gold team 113-108 in a contest filled with acrobatic layups, long three-pointers, ankle-breaking drives and more than a few dunks. In other words, a typical Exceptional Senior Game.
