Crumpler and Herring each with 20+ points
(2)Charlotte was just too strong for (4)Franklin in the Class B1 Final on Sunday evening, winning 80-61 over the Quakers.

It's the 8th sectional title for the Lakesiders and their 3rd in 4 years.

Franklin led 17-13 after the opening quarter, but Charlotte used a steady diet of Donte Crumpler and Malik Herring to pull away for good.

Crumpler finished the game with 26 points, 9 rebounds and the B1 tournament MVP trophy. Herring wasn't far behind with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Tyreik Snow also had a strong game, finishing with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Franklin's Qua-drelle Roberts did his best to keep the Quakers in the game. He finished with 30 points. Quashaun Green also chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds for the Quakers.

Charlotte will take on B2 champions Leadership Academy on Wednesday, March 5th in the Western, NY regional play-in game. Site and time of that game are TBA.
