Kearney Cruises To State Quarters

Bryant leads Kings past Waterloo in state play-in
Kharysma Bryant scored 21 points to lead Kearney past Waterloo 64-53 in the Class B state qualifier Tuesday night at Canandaigua High School. 

The Kings led by six at the half and poured in on in the third quarter as the lead bulged to 48-26. Waterloo fought all the way and cut the deficit to nine with just under two minutes to play in the fourth quarter. Kearney answered with a layup and put the game away with free throws. 

Emanuella Edoka added 15 points for Kearney while Rosa Graham scored ten. 

Lindsay Johnson had 21 points to pace the Indians. Lauren Deming put up 16. 

Kearney moves on to Saturday's state quarterfinal game at Finger Lakes Community College. The Kings play the first of five consecutive games with tip time at 11am against the Class B champion from Buffalo's Section VI.
