Egeling Turns Tide In LeRoy Win

99-yard INT TD turns close game into Knights rout
Nick Egeling picked off a pass just in front of his goal line and took it 99 yards for a touchdown. The play gave LeRoy a 21-9 halftime lead and the Oatkan Knights cruised to a 34-17 win in Avon Friday night.

The Braves were driving for a go-ahead score in the final minute of the half when Egeling made his play. LeRoy then took the opening kick of the second half, worked seven minutes off the clock and Mike McMullen found Egeling for a 15-yard TD pass on 4th down to give the Knights a commanding lead.

McMullen finished 11-15 with 138 yards and three scores. Ryan McQuillen had four catches for 62 yards and a touchdown.

Tom Kelso added 70 yards and a TD on the ground plus three receptions for 58 yards and a second six-pointer.

LeRoy stays perfect at 5-0 while Avon falls to 3-2.
