Mendon Hold Early Lead to Top East

Julien and Phillips combine for 37 as Vikings move to 9-3
Mendon got 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals from junior Alley Phillips and the Viking defense shut down East in a 53-39 win in Pittsford on Friday night.

The Vikings move to 9-3 with the win while East falls to 9-4.

The Vikings held the Orientals to single digits in three of the game's four quarters and the offense did the rest. Kelsey Julien finished with 15 points after hitting five 3-pointers. The senior captain also recorded 4 rebounds and 5 assists.

East High was led by forward Khamia Gause with 15 points. Taylor Hosbey wasn't far behind with 12.
