Cal-Mum 20, Silver Creek 13

Red Raiders hold on to win state quarterfinals

Madison Suhr ran for a TD and threw for another as Cal-Mum held off a late Silver Creek rally to win their Class D State Quarterfinal 20-13 at All-High Stadium in Buffalo Friday night.

Suhr also connected with Christian Hallet on a 45 yard play late in the game to pick up a first down and seal the win. The pass was deflected high in the air, but landed right in Hallet's arms.

Hallet was the same receiver who caught Suhr's TD pass to put the Red Raiders up 20-7. Jon Cappotelli opened the scoring with a 15 yard TD run. Collin Callan had two interceptions for the Raider defense.

Cal-Mum's next game will be in the State Semifinals Friday night, November 19th in Rochester at Marina Auto Stadium.
