Controversial No-Goal Results In Rhinos 1-1 Draw

Rhinos sit at 3-8-8 for the year
A season of frustrating lows for the Rochester Rhinos has somehow fallen even lower.

With seconds remaining in stoppage time, Gabe Latigue's free-kick rebounded toward the Richmond goalline before being cleared. The Rhinos began celebrating but no goal was given moments before the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

The Rhinos battled back to grab the game-equalizer in the 90th minute thanks to a Andrew Hoxie volley off a Gabe Latigue free-kick. Richmond scored the game's opening goal in the 65th minute when Luke Vercollome put home a rebound off a shot that Rhinos' goalie Kristian Nicht could not parry away.

Had the Rhinos won, they would have handed Richmond their first loss of the season. Instead, the Kickers are 9-0-7 and the Rhinos now sit at 3-8-8 this season, good for 12th place in the USL Pro standings. The Rhinos next game is on Saturday, July 19th against Wilmington at Sahlen's Stadium.
