The St. Lawrence County Sheriff's have issued a New York State AMBER Alert and are investigating a confirmed child abduction on State Highway 812 and Mount Alone Road in the town of Oswegatchie that happened on Wednesday night around 7:20. Two females were abducted.

Police are searching for 12 year old Fannie Miller, with brown hair and brown eyes, approximately 5 feet tall. She is cross-eyed. The second female, 6 year old Delila Miller, has brown hair and brown eyes, approximately 4 feet tall. She has a round scar on her forehead and is missing front teeth. Both girls were last seen wearing a dark blue dress with a blue apron and black bonnets.

The girls were said to be taken in a white 4-door sedan while waiting on a customer at their roadside stand.

The St. Lawrence County village of Heuvelton has been swarmed with local, state and federal police. A helicopter is searching from above, while dive teams scour the water. Police are carefully searching acres of land, and remote areas of the county.

Sheriff Kevin Wells says, "if it was an abduction, these girls don't have to be dressed in Amish clothes anymore. Their hair may be cut; they might have a Pennsylvania-Dutch dialect."

The sheriff says they are working under the worst case scenario, and investigating this as if the girls were abducted. Right now, no concrete clues to support that, but there's also nothing to rule it out either.

The girls were taken in a white 4-door sedan while waiting on a customer at their roadside stand.

If you have any information, you are asked to call (866) NYS-AMBER or 911.
