The fifth annual "Evening for Patrick Place" will be held Saturday, March 8 at the Radisson on Jefferson Road in Henrietta.

Patrick Place Board Chair Colleen Donegan and Board Vice Chair Jackie Coates discussed the event and the vision for Patrick Place Wednesday on News 8 at Noon.

The Gala is the largest fundraiser of the year for Patrick Place, a comfort care home to be located in the rectory of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Scottsville.  Over the last five years, the fundraising goal for Patrick Place has been achieved allowing for the construction/renovation process to begin.  Fundraising remains critical to ensure the sustainability of the comfort care home.

"An Evening for Patrick Place" will feature dinner and a silent auction, as well as music from harpist Catherine Caton and entertainment by Resonanz.  This year's Gala is dedicated in honor of Charlotte Bruney, who served on the original committee to explore opportunities to open a comfort care home in Scottsville and was instrumental in laying the foundation for the establishment of a facility for the terminally ill.  She continued her ministry of unselfishly giving to others, despite her own struggle with cancer.
