Chili, NY (WROC) - Friday night, a bicyclist was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Chili.  It happened just before 8:30 on Paul Road.

Monroe County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as 58 year old, Joseph F. Robinson. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was identified as 20 year old, Cassandra L. McClain. She has not been charged. Authorities say that based upon the initial investigation, it appears that McClain crossed over the fog line and struck Robinson on the shoulder of the road.

After the accident, the driver stayed on the scene and tried to help the man.

"The driver did stop and placed a call to 911," explained Lieutenant, Tom Rowe.  "There was no indication there was alcohol involved, and no indication that speed was a factor, or anything like that, but everything else is still under investigation."
