Bloomfield Torches Marcus Whitman

18-4 run in 3rd quarter sends Bombers to 89-83 win
In a battle of two 9-2 teams, Bloomfield's offense was practically unstoppable in their 89-83 win over Marcus Whitman on Wednesday night.

Dyllan Taillon notched 21 points for the Bombers, who still sit atop the Class C1 standings in Section V. His teammate Austin Ferguson made six 3-pointers in the first half en route to 18 total points. Alex Flattery was a force down low, picking up 16 points in the process. Ty Clauss was the other bomber in double-figures with 14 points.

Marcus Whitman found much of their success from beyond the 3-point arc. The Wildcats hit 13 3-pointers in the game thanks to Rhen Grover who had 5 and Luke Shively who had 4. Both players finished with 17 points each. Merritt Bailey led Marcus Whitman with 20 points.

The game was tied at halftime, but Bloomfield went on an 18-4 run to start the second half and never looked back. With the win, Bloomfield moves to 10-2. Marcus Whitman falls to 9-3.
