During rehearsal for a Beatles Concert at Aquinas Institute, saxophonist CJ Ziarniak belts out a solo for the Beatles classic, "Hey Jude." It's just one of the reasons why CJ loves this ensemble above all others. "The Aquinas Concert Band is probably my favorite because it's the most fun," he says. "We do a whole variety of music, from sonatas to the Beatles."

CJ also plays with the Eastman Youth Jazz Orchestra and routinely wows the judges in the New York State School Music Association. His proudest achievement is having earned a perfect score on his all state solo his sophomore year. "It's just so exciting to see where he's going to go," says Meaghan McTammany, Director of Bands at Aquinas. "He's just so dedicated to performing and to learning music."

CJ also plays the flute and clarinet. He's busy applying to colleges for music and hopes one day to teach.
