Rochester Deputy Fire Chief Marty McMillan is the new fire chief in Hanover, New Hampshire. 

McMillan has been with the Rochester Fire Department for 29 yeas. He has been a Deputy Chief for the past seven. Hanover is a city of about 8,200 people. He will join that department in early April. This past November, McMillan was broad-sided by a driver fleeing from police. He was severely injured, but returned to work in late January. 

In a statement to News 8, McMillan said "after that accident things changed and this just felt right. I love working for the city of Rochester. This will be much different and I look forward to a new challenge."
