"This show is fantastic," says Tara Peterson, one of the performers. "It's called 'Treasure Trove.' We've opened the Disney vault and brought out some of the best animated features from the first film, which is Snow White, to the 50th. And we've tried to include as many as we can."
Disney shows have come to Rochester, but "Treasure Trove" is brand new this year.
"I think we've piled a lot into this show as compared to other shows," says Peterson. "So there's something for every generation here. We have some fantastic new costumes, a great set, and some fantastic skating."
One of the stars you'll see in the show is from right here in Rochester. Adrian Rosenberg grew up in Pittsford, and graduated from McQuaid High School. He plays Peter Pan in the show!
"Performing here in front of the people I grew up with, the people I went to school with, it's a great opportunity," explains Rosenberg. It's something I looked forward to as soon as I started the tour. I started in September, and to see on the schedule that I'm playing my hometown in a few months, that was something I was looking forward to."
Adrian started skating when he was 7 - even competing at Nationals. Skating with Disney helps to keep his skills sharp.
"Coming into something like this, you think, 'Oh, I do the same thing every day and it's going to get boring.' But it really doesn't because you feed off the energy from the audience and you're always getting better; you're always finding new things to do with your character, and you live it up more and more so that's a great part of the show," says Rosenberg.
The show features just about everything you can imagine - all of the princesses from Snow White, to Rapunzel for the girls, to pirates and sword fights for the boys.
