Former Brighton School Bus Driver Pleads Guilty to Aggravated DWI

Amini Kellum, 35, crashed her bus last August.
A former brighton bus driver who was charged last summer after police said she drove drunk and crashed her bus took a plea deal in court this morning.

Thirty five year old Amini Kellum crashed her bus into a railing at a gas station on Mount Read blvd last August.  The students had been dropped off and there were no injuries but Kellum was terminated from her position with the First Student bus company.

This plea was in exchange for five years probation, five years with an interlock device in her car, and her license will be revoked for one year.  The DMV will determine whether she's allowed to have a commercial license again.

Kellum will return to the courtroom this fall.  Her sentencing is scheduled for October 9th.
