Four Taken to Hospitals After ATVs Collide

Four people are injured when two ATVs collide in Pembroke.
The Genesee County Sheriff's Office is trying to figure out what caused two ATVs to crash late last night. Deputies say the two ATVs collided near 2069 Route 5 in Pembroke around 11pm. Both ATVs had a driver and passenger riding them. All four people were ejected from the vehicles because of the crash. A passenger on one of the ATVs was taken to Erie County Medical Center by Mercy Flight while the driver was taken to the same hospital by ambulance. The driver and passenger of the second ATV were taken to United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia by private vehicle but were later transferred to ECMC for treatment.

The Sheriff's office says the cause is still under investigation and charges are pending in relation to this case.
