Francesca Gerace sings for the joy of it. But there are plenty of folks who take her talent seriously. This year, The American Choral Directors Association chose her to sing in the prestigious All-Eastern Honor Choir. It performed in Rhode Island in February. "It was a really wonderful experience," says Francesca, "meeting so many people and being in a room with so much talent from the tri-state area, getting to know a lot of people focusing on shaping the music we were given."

Francesca sings in the school choirs, has performed solo with the RPO and played the lead in this year's school musical. She practices at least an hour every day. Her teachers say she's a natural leader.

Although she doesn't plan a career in music she'll always cherish it. This talented singer heads to SUNY Fredonia next year.
