Gananda Gets Dramatic Win At AQ

Bingelli gets game winner for Panthers
Zach Bingelli scored the game winning goal with 16 seconds to play as Gananda came back late to beat Aquinas 8-7 on Dewey Avenue Monday night.

Collin Brillian tied the score at 7 with 2:12 to play after navigating traffic in front of the Aquinas goal to find a point blank shot. Marty LaFica had to make a save (with his knees) in the final minute to keep the game tied and give Bingelli a chance to win it.

Aquinas took the lead on a pair of goals a minute apart from Jamison Whitfield and Jonathan Olbrich just after the halfway point of the 4th quarter. The frenzied final six minutes followed an 18-minute stretch (3rd quarter, 1st half of 4th) that featured all of one goal.

Gananda upped its record to 11-2 while Aquinas fell to 9-6.
