Flyers senior makes all 13 shots in win over Fisher
Senior Jack Giles erupted for a career-high 38 points and set a school record by connecting on all 13 of his field goal attempts for host Nazareth Tuesday as the Golden Flyers held off a late charge by St. John Fisher to take an 87-84 men's basketball victory.

The Golden Flyers won for the fifth straight time to improve to 12-5 overall and 5-2 in Empire 8 games. Fisher dropped to 11-7 overall and 5-3 in conference games. The teams play again Feb. 14 at Fisher.

Giles stole the show for the Golden Flyers as he went 13-for-13 from the field to go where no Nazareth player has gone before. He was 4-for-4 from three-point range and 8-for-10 from the free-throw line in 39 minutes of action.

Fisher rallied, but Nazareth still led by 13, 78-65, following a free throw by Brad Ford with 2:01 to go. A three-pointer by Fisher's Charles McVay on the ensuing possession triggered another rally as the Cardinals closed to within four, 83-79, after three free throws by Adam Ambielli with :30 left.

Nazareth stayed in front thanks to a pair of free throws by Giles, one by Mitch Ford and another by freshman Jack Mulcahy. Fisher's Chaz Lott scored before the final horn sounded to make the final, 87-84.

Nazareth made 26 of 50 shots from the field (52 percent) and 5 of 12 three-pointers (41.7 percent). The Golden Flyers also went 30 for 39 from the free throw line and outrebounded Fisher 36-30.
