Tom Golisano was at Bishop Kearney to receive an honor for supporting the school, but a lot of the talk surrounded his interest in buying the Bills.

Golisano did confirm that he is interested in buying the Bills if it is reasonable to do so and would have a better idea once the team releases their financial records to prospective buyers. He says that process should happen at some point in the next two to three weeks.

Golisano reiterated that the bills are a very important asset for Western New York. He also criticized the team and government officials for the $130 million renovation of Ralph Wilson Stadium if a new stadium may be built after a new owner is chosen.

"I think it's a very important assest to Western New York and I'm going to do anything within reason to make sure it stays here, Golisano said.

Golisano also squashed reports that he was interested in a joint venture with mall developer Scott Congel to buy the Bills. He said those reports simply were not true.
