Customers will no longer have to wait for the check at Applebee's . The chain announced it will be installing tablets at every table. Diners will be able to use the devices to pay their bills and order food. Tablets will be in Applebee's restaurants by the end of next year. 

Workers in Washington D.C. will see a bump in the next few years. City lawmakers voted Tuesday to increase the district minimum wage to $11.50 an hour. It is currently $8.25. The hikes would be phased in over three years, starting at $9.50 in July 2014. They would increase with inflation starting in 2017.

Sony's newest game console is raking in the sales just two weeks after its launch. As of December 1st, the Playstation 4 has sold more than two million units, according to the electronics giant. With only three weeks to go until Christmas, the PS4 faces tough competition with Microsoft's news console, the Xbox One.
