The Rochester Home Builders Association reported today slower than expected results in the first quarter compared to last year.  Realtors say the harsh winter we just had kept people from buying or selling their homes.

Andy Burke of the Greater Association of Realtors stated, "buyers are not coming out. Everybody's hibernating. They've been home. It's difficult to look for houses in the cold. There's just been a general sense of waiting for the spring.:

Realtors say they have seen more homes go on the market in the last few weeks.  Meantime, property values in Monroe County are slighty up this quarter.
