Kelly Gets Night Out Of Hospital

Takes family to Knicks game, says family must "pray for miracle"
Jim Kelly got the night off from the hospital.

On Friday, he took his wife Jill and daugther Erin to the Knicks game against Washington. Kelly says he's always been a Knicks fan, but also will root for the Heat. When a picture of he and his family appeared on the scoreboard, the Kelly's received a standing ovation.

Kelly says the trip was a reward for his daughter after she made dean's list at Liberty. She's a freshman.

The Bills legend spoke with MSG, who was broadcasting the Knicks and Wizards. Kelly was asked why he keeps posting photos of he and his family from Lennox Hill Hospital in New York City.

"I think it's more for my daugther and my wife. They enjoy it," he said. "We just had such a big outpour of prayers which I definitely need and support from, not only people in Western New York, but from all over. It makes me feel good there's so many people praying for me out there.

Kelly's cancer is inoperable for now. He begins a non-invasive treatment on Monday, but even that is not a guaranteed cure. "My big battle starts Monday when I go in and start my radiation and chemo. When its all over, I hope they get everything," Kelly said. "Right now, we're praying for a miracle."

Kelly thanked fans who have been sending gifts and advised them to continue to pray.
