Letter Circulating in Henrietta Raises Concern

A letter claiming to support one Henrietta candidate has some questioning who the letter is actually from.
Henrietta, NY--Some residents in the Town of Henrietta recently received a letter supporting Town Supervisor candidate, Michael Yudelson and some might assume it is from the Rush-Henrietta Athletic Association. However, according to the RHAA board, both the letter and the endorsement are not from RHAA. The letter also contains the signatures of board members Gary Junge, David Toole, and David Moriarity.

Yudelson said Tuesday that it is from "The Committee to Elect Michael Yudelson," not the Association. "It doesn't give the impression it's from the association. It doesn't  use the board members titles, under their signatures." Yudelson said the letter was drafted by volunteers of RHAA during the Primary Election and at that time, "both David Toole, and David Moriarity did give the Committee approval," according to Yudelson.

RHAA is a 501c3 non-profit organization and cannot endorse any political candidate. In a written statement the board said, "at no point did these Board of Director members sign this document. This letter was sent without the approval or knowledge of the RHAA Board of Directors and absolutely no RHAA funding was used to support any political candidate."

Jack Moore is challenging Yudelson in the race. Moore won the Republican Primary Election in September. Yudelson has since re-registered as a Democrat.
