A Wayne County man is heartbroken after dealing with the death of his wife last week. Now Facebook will not let him access videos she left for him on her page.

Charles Wachal's wife Shannon died on Valentine's Day, but left him videos on Facebook. Shannon was only 26. She left behind personal videos for Charles and their daughter Abagail. When he tried to log into her account, Facebook had memorialized her page. That means her page is now locked. Facebook also changed her relationship status from "married" to "was married."

"In my mind I'm still married until I decide that I want to change that, if ever. I'm still married and Facebook thinks they have the right to change that," he said.

Charles has no idea why Facebook memorialized his wife's page. His calls and e-mails have not yet been returned. News 8 also reached out to Facebook via phone calls and emails but have not gotten a response.

Facebook does provide a special request form for situations like this. Charles says he filled out that form on Wednesday and has not heard back yet.
