Albion Police say Lynette Schumacher was located Saturday in the City of Rochester shortly before 1 p.m.

Chief Roland Nenni III of the Albion Police Department said Schumacher was located when she called the Monroe County 911 center to inquire if she was a wanted person. The Rochester Police Department responded and located her in the 500 block of Broad Street.

An investigation by the Albion Police Department revealed that she had taken a car from an acquaintance in the Village of Albion and then disposed of the car in the City of Rochester because of narcotics activity in which she was involved.

Schumacher was taken into custody and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Grand Larceny. She is currently being held in Orleans County Jail and will return to court on April 1.

The stolen vehicle has not been recovered but is believed to be in Rochester. It is a black 2006 Suzuki Frenza, four door, license plate FCE-2528. Anyone with information as to Schumacher's activity over the past several days or the stolen vehicle is asked to call your local 911 center or Albion Police at 585-589-5627.
