Gary Porter, the driver of Grave Digger, discussed the event Friday on News 8 at Noon.
Porter said he still gets a thrill after 29 years of competing. He enjoys looking up in the stands to see second and third generation fans. Monster Trucks like Grave Digger cost about $150,000 to put together, and fans love the show they put on in the arena. Six Monster Trucks will race over cars, do "wheelie" contests, "donut" contests and freestyle as well.
You can see the Monster Jam three times this weekend:
Friday, 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, 2:00 p.m.
Porter said fans can enjoy special pit passes as well, to see the trucks up close on Saturday from 4 - 6:30 and Sunday from 11 - 12:30.
