An apparent dispute over housing ended with an 86 year-old man shooting his grandson and killing a woman, before taking his own life in Staten Island. The 86 year-old shot his 47 year-old grandson in the face outside of his grandson's home in Rosebank. He then wen inside and shot his grandson's wife in the head, killing her. Neighbors say he often clashed with his grandson, accusing him of stealing. After opening fire on the couple the man ran to his car a block away and turned the .38 caliber handgun on himself. His grandson is listed in critical condition.

A Jetblue plane hit a bird mid-flight this weekend and had to make an emergency landing at New York's JFK airport. According to the FAA the flight was heading from White Plains, NY to West Palm Beach in Florida when it struck the bird. The pilots declared an emergency and headed to JFK. The plane landed safely and no injuries were reported.
