Pendrith, Rank Lead Monroe Thru Three Rounds

Sluman falls four back, Hall six shots off pace
There’s a two way tie for the lead heading to the final round of the 74th Monroe Invitational Championship at Monroe Golf Club.

Taylor Pendrith (Kent State) and Garrett Rank of Elmira, Ontario are both ten under par after three rounds.  Pendrith shot a four under 66 on Friday.  Rank, the second round leader, shot 68 on Friday.   
Both players are from Ontario, Canada.
Adam Ball of VCU is third at eight under par (66 Friday).

Rochester native Trevor Sluman (McQuaid/Louisville) is in a group tied for sixth at six under par.  Sluman the first round leader shot 70 in the third round.

Pittsford’s Gavin Hall (Mendon/Texas) is six shots back at four under par after a 70 (four under par).

Pittsford Sutherland senior Jack Gianniny had one of the day’s better rounds.  Gianniny, the Section V and NYS High School champion, shot a four under 66 Friday and is two over for the tournament.

St. John Fisher College’s Chris Blyth (Pittsford Mendon/Monroe Golf Club) also moved up the leaderboard with a 67 and is tied for 46th.

The final round is Saturday with the leaders scheduled to tee off at 9:30am.
