Rochester AmeriCorps Celebrates 20 Year Anniversary

200 members from Rochester and Buffalo celebrated by giving back to the community.
Rochester Americorps is celebrating 20 years of community service today.  Two hundred members from Rochester and Buffalo celebrated by giving back to the community.  The group of volunteers spent the morning picking up litter and debris at Genesee Valley Park and cleaned up areas near the Genesee Waterways Center.

Rachel Tachco, the Program Director for Rochester Americorps, said, ""Americorps members are a really special breed of people who want to serve their community, give back , are critically interested in strengthening community and making our world just a better place to live."

This is also the 20th anniversary of the Americorps national branch.
