Art is her passion. It will also be her life's work. April hopes one day to be an art director at an ad agency. Already, she's participated in several exhibits, including Genessee Valley Boces Digital Media Festival. You can also find her work on display at the Go Art Gallery in Batavia.
"I start something and I have a little idea, and then it just grows as I keep going and the idea just gets bigger and bigger until I have this set piece," McMillion says. "When I get feedback from my friends, my mom and my teachers who tell me 'that's awesome!', 'beautiful April!', it's like, really nice."
Her teachers say she's an outstanding student who routinely sets high standards for herself, and meets them. Next year, April is off to college at Buffalo State, where she will study communication design.
