Actor Melvin Abston, who plays Curtis Jackson in "Sister Act" discussed the show Wednesday on News 8 at Noon.
Abston said audiences will connect with the performers immediately. "We start at a 10 and go up from there," he said. "Sister Act" is the proverbial fish out of water story, with disco diva Deloris Van Cartier placed in protective custody at a convent after witnessing a murder. Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with the rigid lifestyle and uptight mother superior.
"Sister Act" is recommended for ages 9 and older. Performances are as follows:
Wednesday, February 12 at 7:30pm
Thursday, February 13 at 7:30pm
Friday, February 14 at 8pm
Saturday, February 15 at 2pm and 8pm
Sunday, February 16 at 1pm and 6:30pm
Tickets begin at $32.50 and can be purchased at the Auditorium Theatre Box Office or online, click here.
