Slaughter Honored for Improving Accessible Health Care

The Regional Primary Care Network awarded her the National Association of Community Health Center's 2014 "Distinguished Community Health Advocate" award.

Congresswoman Louise Slaughter was honored today by the Regional Primary Care Network.  She was given the National Association of Community Health Center's 2014 "Distinguished Community Health Advocate" award.  The award recognizes her support for improving access to health care for the under-served population in Rochester.

"I am greatly honored by it," said Congresswoman Slaughter.  "There are facilities all over, but this one is top dog.  The ones in this region are really special here, so we're very proud of them."

Slaughter announced a $2.5 million grant for the Regional Primary Care Network back in April.
