Storm Near Watkins Glen Confirmed to be EF-1 Tornado

A roof was torn off more than one home.
The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-1 tornado touched down in Reading, NY yesterday.  The storm that swept through last night, just north of Watkins Glen, left behind serious damage.  No one was injured.

The rooves were torn off of more than one home, leaving rooms completely exposed.  Trees and other debris littered yards.

Jamie Tobey of Rock Stream was out in a canoe on a pond by the house near her grandmother at the time of the storm, "I heard like a high wind and I was like 'what is that' and she's really hard of hearing so she had no idea what was going on. So I stopped and I looked I'm like 10 feet out in the water in a canoe and I look and I see the tornado, I just saw it tunneling down and I'm like Oh my God."
