SU women’s basketball team snags No. 6 seed in NCAA Tourney

The Syracuse University women’s basketball team will be heading to the NCAA Tournament in consecutive years for the first time in program history.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - The Syracuse University women’s basketball team will be heading to the NCAA Tournament in consecutive years for the first time in program history.

The Orange (22-9) snagged the No. 6 seed after receiving an at-large bid and is slated to play No. 11 seed Chattanooga (29-3) on Saturday, March 22 in Lexington, KY.

SU and Chattanooga have never played against each other.

This is SU’s sixth NCAA Tournament appearance and highest seeding in program history.

The winner of SU and Chattanooga will play the winner of No. 3 seed Kentucky and No. 14 seed Wright State on Monday, March 24.
