Perotti was one of two winners last year in Pepsi's Field of Dreams promotion. Perotti is from Rochester while the other winner, Stephen Katchmark, is from Washington, DC. Rochester then won the voting to host the game.
The two fans, along with five friends each, will play hardball with and against ten baseball legends.
The AL team will feature Reggie Jackson, Rickey Henderson, Wade Boggs, Frank Thomas and Pedro Martinez playing with Perotti. Katchmark's NL squad has Johnny Bench, Mike Schmidt, Ozzie Smith, Fred McGriff and Trevor Hoffman.
The game will start at 6pm at Frontier Field. Gates will open at 4pm when batting practice begins.
Fans can buy tickets for 20 dollars apiece in person, by phone or online at the Frontier Field box office. In addition, anyone who buys two 12-packs of Pepsi products at any Rochester area Wegmans will also get a free ticket.
There is a limit of two tickets per household per day and the ticket supply through Wegmans is limited.
All tickets are general admission, with no seat assignments. Seating on game day will be first-come, first-serve.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, April 13th at 10am through Frontier Field and at Wegmans. The online portion of ticketing begins the same day at Noon.
Season seat holders will have an opportunity to buy tickets two days earlier on the 11th beginning at 9am.
This is only the second year for the Field of Dreams promotion. The first one, in Columbus last summer, featured many of the same players. During batting practice, fans had the opportunity to talk with the baseball legends and the same is expected this year.
Pepsi also created a real-life "Field of Dreams" in Columbus last year, with cornstalks in the outfield, a la the famous movie by the same name. They have promised another transformation this year at Frontier Field.
If it rains, the game will be postponed to Sunday, the 19th. The Red Wings expect a monster crowd for the six-inning exhibition.
