All locations joined in on the fundraiser from five to eight. For every person who took part in the challenge, the Distillery donated $10 to the National ALS Association.
This is a trend that's taking over the nation. "It's been all over social media, we've seen it, we've recognize the challenge is for ALS and their organization," explained the Distillery's manager, Randy Slifer. "We see that they've raised a lot of money, and the Distillery wants to be a part of that community... We thought it was a great idea for us to be able to help out the community."
Jennifer Devoe of the National ALS Association says that the challenge's sweeping trend "has been just awesome awareness of a disease that has really not been advertised much."
So far, the Ice Bucket Challenge has raised over an estimated $50 million for the National ALS Association.
