The 9th annual Toast to Hope will be held Monday, June 16 at Locust Hill Country Club.

Committee chairs Marlene LaRock and Sharon Cox discussed the event Tuesday on News 8 at Noon.

Both women noted that everyone knows someone who has been touched by breast cancer, and the goal of Toast to Hope is to celebrate the survivors, remember those lost, and help raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research and support programs.

Attendees will enjoy a variety of food, beer, wine and alcohol, along with the opportunity bid on silent auction items and purchase an honor ribbon for someone who has survived or lost their battle with cancer.  In addition, there will be "pretty in pink boxes" that can be purchased for $20, each containing an item valued at $20 or more.

Monday's event will run from 5 to 9 p.m.  Tickets are still available for $65.  To purchase a ticket, please call (585) 427-8388.
