Two people were charged following a head on snowmobile crash in Seneca Falls last week.

The Seneca Falls Police Department responded to a field near 2718 Kingdom Road for a reported snowmobile crash with injuries just before 1 a.m. last Sunday February 16.

Officials say 22 year-old Andrea Osterhout and 22 year-old Zachary Herman were riding their snowmobiles when they collided head on. Osterhout was injured in the crash. She was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released.

Police say unsafe speed and inexperience played a role in the crash. Osterhout was charged with imprudent speed and operation, operating without insurance and unregistered snowmobile. Herman was also charged with imprudent speed and operation.
