Two People Injured When Motorcycle Strikes Deer

The Livingston County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a motorcycle accident Sunday morning around 8:40am.
The Livingston County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a motorcycle accident Sunday morning around 8:40am.

Sheriff's say that Keith Price, 46, and his wife Janine Price, 47, of Arkport, N.Y., were travailing North on State Highway 36 in the Town of Leicester, when a deer ran out into the road. A witness who saw the accident said that the motorcycle tried to stop but the the deer ran into the side of them.

The motorcycle slid about 75 feet and landed in a ditch. Both riders were thrown off.

The couple was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by ambulance.  Deputies say both riders sustained non-life threatening injuries.
