Wayne Rallies To Make Sectional Finals

Morrison scores twice as Eagles beat Livonia
Justin Morrison topped 200 yards of total offense and scored twice as (4)Wayne scored the game's final 19 points and upset (1)Livonia 25-14 in the Class B semifinals at Eastridge High School Saturday afternoon.

The win puts the Eagles in the Sectional Finals for the first time in school history.

Livonia built a 14-6 lead before Wayne started their rally. Nate Currier hit Morrison with a 40-yard TD pass which sliced the lead to 14-12 at the half.

Morrison scored from 23 yards out in the third quarter to put Wayne in front for good. Kyle Gallo scored a 4th quarter TD to put the game away.

Morrison finished with 151 yards rushing and 55 yards receiving on three catches. Currier completed seven of 13 passes for 131 yards and two scores--the first TD to Mike Hollenbeck in the first quarter.

Michael English and Josh Henderson each scored rushing touchdowns for Livonia.

Wayne will face (3)Geneva in the Class B finals next weekend. The Panthers knocked off (2)Newark 22-14 on Saturday.
