The blizzard is bringing national attention to our area, including a visit from the Weather Channel.
The blizzard is bringing national attention to our area, including a visit from the Weather Channel.

Weather Channel meteorologist Mike Seidel has been doing live reports from the swing bridge in Irondequoit all morning. Seidel's coverage is broadcast nationwide on the Weather Channel, so all eyes are on the greater Rochester area. His presence even attracted some local viewers. Patty Bogdany lives in Rochester and stopped by the bridge to see Seidel's coverage up-close and personal.

"When the Weather Channel is here, it is the worst part of the area that they've picked to come; and they've got a lot to shoot I'm sure," she said.

Seidel and his team will be in Rochester through the evening.
