The Webster Schroeder Warriors won their first ever state championship in hockey on Sunday.
The Webster Schroeder Warriors won their first ever state championship in hockey on Sunday by defeating Beekmantown 2-0 at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.

Goalie Ryan Butel turned away all 19 shots he faced.  Both Warriors goals came in the first period.  Joe Schuler's wrist shot made it a 1-0 game, followed by Jeremy Caulkins score with less than three minutes to go in the first.  Those proved to be the only goals of the game as the Warriors cap off their dream season in championship fashion.
