Wire-to-Wire Win for Waterloo Over Livonia

Deming's 25 points push Indians to 47-45 win
After the first minute of the game, (2)Waterloo never trailed against (3)Livonia, but had to hang on in the end for a 47-45 win in their Class B1 Semifinal showdown on Wednesday from Pittsford Sutherland High School.

Lauren Deming led the Indians with 25 points while Lindsay Johnson was the only other player for Waterloo in double-figures with 12. Waterloo jumped out to an early 18-10 lead after the first quarter.

Livonia stepped up on both ends of the floor in the fourth quarter. Trailing 42-33 entering the final 8 minutes, they clamped down on defense, allowing only 5 points, but were unable to get over the hump. Molly Stewart led the Bulldogs with 15 points. Taylor VanThof was right behind with 14 points.

Defending Class B champs, Waterloo, will take on (4)Midlakes in the B1 Final on Saturday at 1:00 from Rush-Henrietta High School.
