AUGUST PRECIPITATION: 2.50"
WEDNESDAY SUNRISE: 6:31 AM
WEDNESDAY SUNSET: 7:52 PM
An upper air disturbance and weak surface low moved a little closer to the region than expected late last night and early this morning and for that reason many of us did get a little wet early this morning, but now it's gone as the little low moves away. The sky will clear and allow for some decent sun to develop for the late morning and afternoon today with highs ranging from 80 to 85 this afternoon. Humidity levels will remain high and temperatures will stay above average through the upcoming holiday weekend, and it will be mainly dry through the start of the holiday weekend. Chances of rain will go up a little Saturday afternoon and even more so for Sunday and especially Labor Day, as a strong cold front moves into the area on Monday. Storms that are expected to move through Labor Day could very well be strong to severe. Stay tuned for updates. Highs temperatures today through Friday will be in the low to mid 80s, but should turn a little hotter Saturday through Labor Day with highs in the mid 80s to near 90 for the last unofficial weekend of summer! Behind the cold front it will likely turn quite cool and windy with a fall feel and maybe a lake effect shower or two by next Tuesday!
TODAY: Some sun developing with a slight risk for a shower/storm during the afternoon/evening.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with areas of fog developing.
THURSDAY: Sun and warm with slightly lower humidity.
FRIDAY: In and out sunshine, warm and muggy with an afternoon and/or evening shower/storm or two possible.
