CITY FORECAST: WELCOME TO AUGUST

The new month will bring warmer air and the risk for a few storms especially in the Finger Lakes on Friday.

JULY RAIN: 7.70"

FRIDAY SUNRISE:  6:01 AM

FRIDAY SUNSET:  8:32 PM

By Friday, that stubborn system that has kept us rather cool finally begins to lift out of our area and as a result, temperatures will return back to the lower 80s, where we should be for the first day of August! While we still may see a few instability showers, the chances look much smaller and we should see plenty of dry time. The upcoming weekend looks a little wet with some showers and storms popping both days. As of right now, it looks like we should see a drier pattern next week.

FRIDAY: Sun and some afternoon cumulus. A few showers or a storm may pop this afternoon, especially through the Finger Lakes.

HIGH:  81

SATURDAY:  Scattered showers and thunderstorms.

HIGH:  80

SUNDAY:  Partly sunny, muggy with a few storms in the afternoon possible.

HIGH:  82
