If you have been to a gas station recently, you may have already noticed gas prices are on the rise.
If you have been to a gas station recently, you may have already noticed gas prices are on the rise.

According to AAA, gas prices have gone up about a cent in the past week. The average cost for a gallon of gas in New York State Sunday was $3.62. Meanwhile, the national average has fallen about a cent in the last week. It is now $3.24. People we spoke with say they are careful about when and where they buy gas.

"I don't like it, but as I'm driving around I look for the cheapest places to get gas, or I look it up online sometimes, to see," Ida Wickman said.

"It's to a point where should I buy gas or should I buy food this week, ya know? It's a little bit out of line, a little bit on the high side," Bo Flanary said.

Overall gas prices in New York are up 11 cents in the past month.
