Honor Flight Returns From Washington

loved ones gathered to celebrate the return of a Honor Flight from the nations capitol.
Families and friends of veterans gathered Sunday as they returned home from their Honor Flight trip to Washington, D.C.

The program gives veterans a chance to see some of Washington's famous memorials and monuments that honor the sacrifice and service they gave to our country.

Some family members of veterans say it is nice for there loved ones to feel like they made a difference in our country.

Cheryl Ennis, the daughter of a veteran, said "I think the most exciting thing for him was he felt like he was recognized...done something that other people were happy with."

The Honor Flight program is funded through community donations and is free to World War II, Korean and Vietnam Veterans.
