John DiPasquale
News 8 Now at Sunrise and Noon Meteorologist

John says it is great to be in Rochester, which is within an hour of where he grew up in Seneca Falls out in the Central Finger Lakes.  His favorite type of weather is snow, and it is what really led him into the field of meteorology.  John attained his meteorology degree at Oswego State, which he says was a great place to study and experience all kinds of crazy weather.  John was recognized and granted the American Meteorological Seal of Approval for excellence in broadcast meteorology in 2005.

Prior to arriving in Rochester, John was in Albany, NY where he worked for about two years at the Fox affiliate.  He has worked in many other locations across the northeast over the past twelve years and finds upstate's weather and forecast challenging and fun.  He loves that lake snow, but knows it can be real fickle to forecast!

John's favorite pastime activities are playing basketball, golf and weight lifting.

John looks forward to providing the Greater Rochester and Western New York area with forecasts Monday through Friday at 5 to 7AM and at noon.
